Great write up! I really enjoyed learning what duolingo has been upto. I was a huge fan of duolingo when it came out but then after a bit lost interest. In great part because I wanted to learn how to speak a new language and be able to strike a conversation with people but the tool wasn't optimized for that. If Duolingo can crack that piece of it, they'll score gold.
